DeAngelo Hall
DeAngelo Hall is a respected NFL veteran, football executive, coach, and national media analyst whose career spans more than two decades across professional football, player development, talent evaluation, broadcasting, and organizational leadership.
A first-round selection of the Atlanta Falcons with the eighth overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft, Hall built an accomplished 14-year NFL playing career with the Atlanta Falcons, Oakland Raiders, and Washington. A three-time Pro Bowl selection and 2010 Pro Bowl MVP, he became known throughout the league for his football intelligence, competitiveness, versatility, and leadership. Hall served as a team captain in Washington and established himself as one of the premier defensive backs of his era.
Following his playing career, Hall expanded his impact beyond the field, developing experience across multiple areas of the professional football ecosystem. As a trusted advisor within the Washington organization, he contributed insight on player evaluation, draft preparation, roster strategy, special projects, and initiatives focused on team performance and locker room culture.
Hall later transitioned into coaching with the Carolina Panthers, serving as Assistant Defensive Backs Coach from 2023 to 2025. In that role, he helped develop NFL defensive backs, contributed to weekly game planning and opponent analysis, and collaborated with coaching and front office personnel on scouting, player evaluation, and roster construction.
His football expertise has also made him a respected national media voice. Hall has served as an analyst for ESPN, NFL Network, FOX Sports, NBC Washington, ESPN Radio, and Washington’s official team broadcasts. Across television and radio, he has translated complex football strategy, personnel decisions, and league trends into insightful analysis for national audiences while building strong relationships throughout the NFL and sports media landscape.
Beyond football operations and media, Hall is committed to leadership, mentorship, and creating opportunities for others. Through the DeAngelo Hall Foundation and partnerships with organizations including the YMCA, United Way, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and local schools, he has supported youth and families through mentorship, athletics, and community-based initiatives.
A graduate of Virginia Tech and member of the Virginia Tech Sports Hall of Fame, Virginia Sports Hall of Fame, and Hampton Roads Sports Hall of Fame, Hall brings a distinctive perspective shaped by more than 20 years of experience as a player, captain, evaluator, coach, advisor, broadcaster, and leader.
Today, Hall continues to use his experience, relationships, and understanding of the professional football landscape to develop talent, strengthen organizations, and help create meaningful pathways for the next generation of leaders throughout the game.
